I have terrible allergies and own dogs and cats...the dog drags in all kinds of stuff. These bags are a great value and work well, trapping very small particles the regular bags spew in the air. Only thing is that it is hard to remove once full so I try to empty when three quarters full. It will puff dust when you change it so i spray with a water mist. Still worth it for me.

These bags are advertised as a replacement for Kenmore type Q, part number 20-50557, cloth filter bags (and also 20-5055 and 20-50558). They are identical in shape to the original Kenmore bag (in my case, type Q, no. 20-50557), and though the texture of the bag is slightly different from that of the original, the weight is similar, and the performance of the bag seems identical to that of the original one.

This bag helps maintain suction by keeping dust out of the motor. Recently, I did a bathroom remodel and hooked my vacuum, with this bag, directly to my palm sander. There was NO dust escaping from the machine! Best of all, when I used the vac, later, around the house for general cleaning I had no loss of suction.
