I loved my old shaver but the battery went out and at the time it seemed a battery pack couldn't be purchased. If you ever used a sodering iron you should be able to install this battery pack. I was surprised that the battery pack out of the box still had a small charge in it and it did not take long for a full charge. I have another old shaver and it also needs a battery pack so if you order a new pack and have more than one inop shaver, order two. I'm super happy to have this old favorite resurrected.

Long lasting charge

The two cells required to run this shaver (Norelco 5822 XL) come already properly welded together. You don't need to borrow your boss' spot welder. Just a little skill with the soldering gun and patience in figuring out how to disassemble the shaver. I like this shaver over the more recent ones because it comes with a manageable power cord, a carrying case, a LED that tells you when you need to recharge, and a fast charging circuit. And the battery lasts a GOOD long time.

A little ingenuity is needed to fit these batteries into your electric razor. Once you have solved that you have an excellent rechargeable power source.

Very happy with charge time and most of all how long the batteries hold a charge. I bought a second set a week later for another shaver based on first set of batteries performance. I would recommend to a friend.

Since Norelco doesn't want us to replace the batteries and instead buy a new shaver for over $50, I watched a utube video and read about how to remove the bad batteries and install the new ones. My replacement went well and now the shaver charges and works great. Can get a few more years with the shaver for [$]. Only complaint, Totalvac took over a week to ship the battery.

I thought the soldering would be fast but it did take some time because I had to cut the soldering tabs off the old batteries and remove them before I could solder in the new ones......after installation I charged them for 4 hours and now they are working just fine.....what a difference.....like a new shaver. thanks for the great price and quick delivery....
