Comments: One particular rug has fibers that won't release dog hair for Roomba. That one still requires the big vac. Wherever the dog chooses to lie down, Roomba will bump into him, barking ensues. Luckily I'm able to divide the house into front and back keeping them separated. For best results, you do have to prepare the rooms. Pick up ottomans, I lean chairs against the wall or put them on table tops. There is definitely a learning curve to maximize efficient cleaning. One rug I just have to roll up. That one it cannot figure out. I have an old house with many high thresholds and surprisingly Roomba can climb over them. The other reviews I read prior to purchase are true, it will leave clumps of dog hair when changing floor surfaces. But, I run it at least once a day and the house cleaners commented on the reduction of dog hair. I haven't had a reason to use the "light houses" so I can't comment on that. Cleaning it is not the pain I was expecting. Two minutes, mostly unwinding dog hair from the wheels on the brushes. I wish it came with a small brush for cleaning the hepa (sp?) filter. |

PROS CONS BEST USES Comments: Works better than I ever thought it could. It is a little slow but well worth the money. It does a great job picking up the dog hair which was the main reason for our purchase. I couldn't be happier. |
